Performs engineering tasks for the design of electrical systems for data centre facilities
If required, prepares mechanical engineering calculations and deliverables in support of mechanical system designs
Coordinates with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring those other disciplines inputs are incorporated
Provides specialized technical input to studies and all relevant technical documentation
Technical knowledge and understanding of all stages of Engineering Design and Construction for Mechanical systems from, Preliminary Design to Commissioning and Handover
Technical knowledge and understanding of project execution processes in a fast track environment
Extensive knowledge of local codes and regulations for design implementation
Extensive local construction knowledge
Construction input for design engineering suitability and control
Manpower and scheduling
Estimating support
Bid evaluation and purchasing of major equipment
Preparation of contract requisition to award
Responsible for mechanical installation performance, schedule, budget, safety and commissioning
Review documentations submitted by vendor and ensure that all comments are incorporated to meet the design intent of the system for the project
Release/approval key deliverables for procurement and construction purposes
Co-ordinate changes as required
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineer (or similar experience and qualification)
5+ years working in mechanical engineering
Professional registration preferred
Experience of working with international companies
LEED / BREEAMMinimum 5 years of Data Centre experience
Experience dealing with multi-discipline design teams
