What The Role Is
You will be responsible for the facility management and maintenance of mechanical & electrical plants and systems within the MOH HQ premises. This involves overseeing the full spectrum of building maintenance and engineering works that support the ministry's operations and emergency responses.
You will be the appointed as the Sustainability Manager for the ministry, playing the key role in championing MOH's environmental sustainability efforts. You will ensure that MOH continually achieves the WoG sector sustainability targets through resource-efficient facility operations and practices.
You will be involved in reviewing mechanical and electrical designs and requirements for infrastructure development / enhancement projects within MOH HQ premises.
You may be rotated to oversee various facility programs or building-related services and have the opportunity to be involved in development projects.
You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
To excel in this role, you must possess good written, analytical, and presentation skills. Familiarity with GreenGov.SG and Green Mark requirement are essential. Experience in budget, procurement or construction management, will be advantageous.
What You Will Be Working On
You will:
- Manage and review preventive and cyclical maintenance of MOH infrastructure and mechanical & electrical systems.
- Oversee facility programs and contracts, including the procurement of related services/ works/ goods.
- Champion MOH's sustainability effort and engage the MOH workforce to obtain feedback, and champion change management.
- Prepare and submit re-certification of MOH premises for Green Mark Platinum/ Platinum Super Low Energy certification.
- Conduct cost benefit analysis to develop cost-effective proposals, and prepare presentations, and funding papers.
- Engage Senior Management and key stakeholders for buy-in on the proposals.
What We Are Looking For
- Training in mechanical & electrical engineering, sustainability & facility management, or related fields
- Good written, presentation, and people skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
- Good analytical and time management skills
- Enjoy working in a team setting and fast-paced environment
- Preferably at least 3 years of relevant work experience
