- Lifecycle management of the global container fleet related to on and off-hires. - Strategic decisions on container types, sizes, and ownership models to support business needs. - Governance of portfolio planning and investment priorities.
- Support the Director of Global Container Portfolio Management in developing and executing the global container portfolio management strategy.
- Build strong relationships and partnerships with local leasing companies, liner companies, larger depots and manufacturers.
- Lead or support local negotiations.
- Define and ensure execution of phase-in/out requirements and strategy in line with the Global Container Portfolio Management execution plans.
- Provide input to budgets.
- Establish and monitor phase in/out targets per area aligned with global flow plan and surplus/deficit locations as well as with global phase-out targets.
- Support and engage in the development of processes, and implementation of optimization tools and digital systems supporting in- and out-fleeting of equipment, sales, Greybox and interchange.
- Ensure high data quality and process execution compliance in the Region and Areas.
- Lead the regional phase in/out community across the involved teams in the Region and Areas
Qualifications- 3-5 years of experience in global logistics, shipping, container management.
- Preferably technical knowhow and understanding of shipping containers.
- Commercial profile with ability to drive sales.
- Good at building relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Experienced in leading and collaborating at regional level with areas.
- Willingness to travel in the region to meet manufacturers, leasing companies, buyers and suppliers.
