What The Role Is

The Manager / Senior Manager, Innovation Hub, plays a key role in driving digital transformation across VITAL, focusing on leading the development, deployment and scaling of automation and digital solutions to raise VITAL's productivity, modernise and optimise shared services delivery in the areas of HR, Payroll, Finance and Procurement to public agencies. The incumbent also creates a conducive ground-up ecosystem for the adoption of digital technology. As a specialist in automation and emerging technologies, the incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders and technology partners to design, build, pilot and deploy solutions that improve service delivery, productivity and operational reliability. The role combines hands-on solution development, governance oversight and strong stakeholder engagement to ensure sustainable and scalable innovation in VITAL.

What You Will Be Working On

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Innovation Hub, the position will be responsible for the following (including but not limited to):

Automation & Digital Solution Delivery

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy automation and digital solutions to address business use cases across shared services functions, leveraging technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), workflow automation, and AI-enabled tools.
  • Support internal VITAL teams in building and implementing automation solutions, providing technical guidance and solution advisory throughout the lifecycle from ideation to production deployment.
  • Conduct proofofconcepts (POCs) and pilot projects, evaluate outcomes, and scale successful initiatives for broader organisational adoption.

Platform & Governance

  • Be the System Administrator for VITAL's Central RPA Platform, which provides scalable automation infrastructure to VITAL and public agencies, ensuring system performance, security, availability,
  • Ensure platform reliability through proactive monitoring, maintenance including reviewing business continuity plans (BCP) and supporting incident management, disaster recovery and BCP exercises.
  • Perform RPA script reviews and oversee adherence to automation standards, governance frameworks to ensure compliance and operational robustness.

Innovation & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with business units to identify automation and digitalisation opportunities, translate operational challenges into actionable solution designs, and cocreate innovative outcomes.
  • Work closely with technology vendors and internal stakeholders to evaluate digital tools, conduct market research, and identify emerging technologies relevant to VITAL's innovation roadmap.

Project & Change Management

  • Lead and manage crossfunctional digital initiatives, ensuring delivery within scope while managing risks, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Support capability building by sharing best practices, solution patterns, and lessons learnt across internal teams and agency users.

Other Duties

  • Undertake adhoc projects or tasks assigned by supervisors in support of Innovation Hub and organisational priorities.

What We Are Looking For


  • Degree in Business with IT, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline is preferred
  • Candidates with a regular degree but demonstrated competence and practical experience in automation, digital solution delivery, or IT transformation are also welcome.
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting organisations in the design, development and deployment of automation or digital solutions, preferably within the Public Sector or in an enterprise environment.
  • Proficiency in tools such as UiPath, ServiceNow, Power Query, Microsoft Excel, VBA.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and executing projects from business use case conceptualisation to implementation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Solid project management capabilities, including planning, coordination and stakeholder management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
