Job Description

The Advancement Division is responsible for inspiring and securing impactful giving in support of SIF's mission – which is to uplift lives and create greater understanding between Singaporeans and world communities through shared ideas, skills and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, develop and implement effective strategies to meet fundraising goals as well as identify organisation wide opportunities. And in doing so, create proposals to match interested individuals, corporations, family offices and foundations with the needs of the organisation.
  • Provide high quality donor research and strategic input relating to possible donors for board of governor meetings, donor meetings and strategic planning relating to advancement. This involves identifying and qualifying prospective donors capable of significant financial support, and mining internal databases, external publications and leadership networks.
  • Collaborate with other departments and business units within the organisation to ensure alignment and coordination of fundraising efforts.
  • Plan and organise donor engagement events.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and policies related to fundraising.
  • Able to prioritise own workload, to achieve measurable goals, be constructively proactive to meet deadlines and produce quality work with attention to facts, details and content.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • At least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in fundraising., preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with donors, partners, stakeholders and the public.
  • Strong organisational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative, innovative, and able to think strategically to come up with new and effective ways to raise funds and awareness.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, ethics and major sources of wealth within Singapore and throughout Asia.
  • Familiarity with non-profit sector regulations and guidelines relating to fundraising.
  • Singaporean.
