The position offers broad exposure across diverse geographies and strategic transactions, providing the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders throughout the business.
Purpose
Assist Group Head of BD to actively pursue and realise an investment strategy that supports PSA's long-term global expansion objectives, including identifying, evaluating, and recommending prospective acquisitions, mergers or joint ventures, and new business opportunities.
Accountabilities
- Assist VPs and AVPs in performing the various GBD functions, viz:
- Understand market trends, research, and assess possible BD opportunities to develop and grow the business
- Carry out preliminary ground research and reality checks on BD opportunities
- Carry out due diligence work
- Create detailed financial models and prepare financial analysis and scenarios to support BD work
- Evaluate opportunities and prepare business proposals for presentation to Senior Management
- Prepare bid documents
- Other work as necessary to successfully execute BD plans
- Assist in coordinating the appropriate cross-functional resources from the various business units and working with the business development teams in various regions where necessary on investment projects and studies
- Assist in maintaining industry contacts and keep updated on industry developments
- Maintain a database of BD possibilities, market conditions, partners and competitors to support the PSA Group's strategic and business development
We are seeking individuals with strong M&A capabilities, proven experience in financial modelling and analysis, commercial acumen, and a genuine interest in global infrastructure, logistics, and supply chain ecosystems.
- Any discipline Degree, preferably in Business, Finance/Accounting or Supply Chain Mgt
- At least 5-7 years working experience in Managerial / Business Development role with proven track record in M&A project management, hands-on experience in building financial models of major investment or infrastructure related projects in ports/ supply chain/ logistics space
- Team player with proactive and result-oriented personality
- Enjoy meeting people and able to work in fast-paced environment
- High energy, enthusiastic team player, confident, mature with high sense of direction
- Motivated self-starter, good articulation, enjoy challenges
- Work well under pressure with short deadlines, multiple and complex projects
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Good business acumen and international business mindset
- Experience in pursuing and winning large, complex international projects
- Willing to travel extensively within short notice
