Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support and advisory services for the Company's business and operational activities, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts. Develop and standardize contract templates and legal documents used by internal departments and subsidiaries to safeguard the Company's legal interests
- Provide legal support for joint ventures and investment activities, including reviewing related legal documents, agreements, and corporate filings
- Provide legal support for investment and project activities, including drafting and reviewing agreements, coordinating with external lawyers and professional advisors, and ensuring the compliance and timeliness of project documentation and reports
- Assist in preparing various legal and compliance reports required by the parent company, and maintain regular communication with the parent company's Legal and Risk Control Department to ensure information accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Handle and coordinate legal disputes, claims, and litigation matters related to the Company manage external legal counsel and provide regular case progress updates to the Company's management and the parent company
- Assist the Department Head in establishing and improving legal and compliance management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure the Company's operations comply with the parent company's requirements and local regulations
- Assist the Department Head in departmental management, including team guidance and development, fostering professional growth and collaboration, and promoting a culture of high ethical standards and integrity
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Department Head.
Requirements:
- Bachelor in law or related field or equivalent
- Min. 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with experience as an in-house legal counsel or in providing legal services to corporations
- Strong attention to details and effective analytical skills with ability to understand complex information and apply logical reasoning and assessment
- Good ethics and professional conduct, and with strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit
- Good organisational, time management skills and stress tolerance with proven ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent command of English and Chinese languages (as the position needs to frequently communicate with English/Chinese speaking stakeholders verbally/ in writing as well as to prepare and proof-read English/Chinese official documents and presentations whenever appropriate).
