Job Purpose
This role leads the supply chain digitalization system teams, who own the key supply chain systems, including but not limited to the Inventory Management Systems and the PO management system, with key focus in optimizing inventory and replenishment efficiency. (Planning system and O2O system could potentially be part of the scope)
Inventory Management System AI driven system for demand forecast, order planning and inventory optimization for overall FPG including Supermarket, Hypermarkets, Finest, E-comm, CVS and Unity.
PO management systems Order handling and execution system for vendors
Unified Inventory Platform Enterprise level of inventory platform as the source of truth for all inventory and related transaction records
Working closely with the key stakeholders, DC operation, transportation and inventory flow control, the team aims at providing E2E service to the supply chain digital products to enable a highly reliable and efficient supply chain of FPG. This includes providing continuous improvement, daily maintenance, consultancy, technical support and training to the system users.
Connecting with the other E2E systems, i.e. Store operations, E-commerce, inventory flow planning and product planning etc., the team also interfaces as SME of supply chain with E2E business development.
The leader of this team sets a strategic roadmap for the supply chain systems to become and remain technically leading in retail business; builds sustainable expertise to support the business; and prioritizes resources to ensure team efficiency.
Responsibilities
Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Management
Drive and deliver results against core supply chain KPIs, including Inventory Health (e.g., Days on Hand, In-stock rates), Supply Chain Efficiency (e.g., Cost-To-Serve, LOS), and Customer Satisfaction (e.g., operational complaints, online-to-offline fulfillment quality).
Inventory Management Systems and Strategy
System Ownership & Strategic Roadmap: Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for the inventory management system. Own the strategic roadmap for system enhancements and lead initiatives to improve its efficiency, scalability, and data integrity.
Product Development & Optimization: Spearhead the design and development of an advanced inventory management product, leveraging smart forecasting, agentic AI to optimize decision-making, reduce stockouts, minimize excess inventory and improve work efficiency
Replenishment Practices Setup: Define and implement advanced replenishment scenarios and its workflow, including B2B, VMI, E-comm and allocation models.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with technology, data science, and international teams to benchmark best practices, integrate cutting-edge solutions, and ensure a seamless flow of information.
User Training & Adoption: Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive training programs and documentation to ensure high system proficiency and adoption across all business units.
Performance Monitoring & Enhancement: Establish and monitor key system performance metrics, using data analysis to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive a culture of optimization.
Process Standardization
Continuously standardize and optimize processes related to inventory management to improve efficiency and consistency across the organization.
Setup inventory and product life cycle governance policies
Leadership and Talent Development
Manage and direct the activities of multiple departments or a Strategic Business Unit (SBU).
Provide supervision and development opportunities for team members by leading the selection and training processes, mentoring, assigning duties, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide coaching for continuous success and improvement.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business or any other related profession.
10 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Marketing, Demand Supply Planning, Merchandising, Finance, or related fields is required.
Relevant Knowledge And Experience
In-depth inventory management and logistics understanding.
Knowledge of replenishment & inventory planning & supply chain operations
Product management skill and experience
Analytical and problem solving capability
Excellent communication skills, proficient at spoken & written English & Chinese
Ability to manage complex and multiple projects at the same time
Driven with positive attitude & aptitude to learn and pick things up fast
High integrity and business ethics
preference with data processing (excel, access, VBA, SQL, python) skillsets
