Job Description
About the Role
The HR Project Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the end-to-end implementation of a new HRIS system and embedding a culture of continuous improvement to future-proof the HR function. This role acts as a key HR systems champion to strengthen HR processes, data integrity, and reporting. Rather than simply digitizing existing practices, you will strategically assess and optimize organizational workflows, design data structures, and leverage technology platforms to maximize automation and elevate the overall employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end evaluation and implementation of a new HRIS system, driving comprehensive requirements gathering and operational assessments.
- Map, challenge, and streamline existing HR workflows prior to system configuration to ensure digitized processes are highly efficient and user-centric.
- Strategise and define the HR data architecture, determining exactly what data is required and how it should be structured to future-proof the HR function.
- Support sweeping HR digitalisation efforts by leveraging the new system for process automation and technology-enabled workflows.
- Drive HRIS enhancement initiatives designed specifically to improve the employee and HR user experience, conducting post-launch audits to uncover new automation opportunities.
- Partner closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to oversee system configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and successful rollout.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure implementation projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Leverage HR data and analytics to generate actionable insights, measure process efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.
- Establish a continuous improvement feedback loop post-implementation to consistently refine HR tech functionalities and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Support employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, confirmation, contract renewal, promotion, and exits.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Computing or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of HR experience, with a strong focus on project management and direct exposure to leading HRIS or HR technology implementations.
- Proven experience in continuous improvement, process mapping, or workflow design (familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies is a strong advantage).
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to drive strategic implementation initiatives independently.
- Deep understanding of HR data structures, workflow automation, and employee experience design.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Opportunity for conversion to a permanent role, subject to performance.
