Job Description

A leading insurer is seeking an experienced distribution professional to drive growth across key intermediary channels including bancassurance, broker networks and financial advisory partnerships. This is a high-impact commercial role focused on expanding market presence, deepening strategic relationships and strengthening distribution capability within the high-net-worth insurance space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development initiatives and revenue growth across assigned distribution partners and intermediary channels.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with banks, brokers, financial advisers and strategic partners to drive sustainable business outcomes.
  • Identify and onboard new distribution opportunities while enhancing productivity within existing partnerships.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders across product, underwriting, operations and marketing teams to support business expansion initiatives.
  • Deliver product, market and sales training sessions to improve partner engagement and commercial effectiveness.
  • Provide technical guidance on insurance solutions, sales positioning and case structuring for HNW clientele.
  • Monitor market developments, competitor activity and regulatory changes to identify commercial opportunities and mitigate business risks.
  • Analyse sales pipeline performance and distributor activity to support strategic planning and execution.
  • Contribute market insights and partner feedback to support product innovation and proposition enhancement initiatives.
  • Participate in projects, strategic initiatives and leadership assignments as required.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified with at least 8 years of experience within life insurance distribution, partnership management or intermediary sales.
  • Strong exposure to multiple distribution channels such as bancassurance, brokers and independent financial advisers.
  • Solid understanding of high-net-worth insurance solutions including Universal Life, Indexed Universal Life and wealth accumulation products.
  • Experience supporting sophisticated insurance sales discussions, product positioning and distributor engagement strategies.
  • Exposure to Variable Universal Life (VUL) products will be viewed favourably.
  • Proven track record in managing external partnerships and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Commercially driven with strong relationship management and business development capabilities.
  • Able to operate effectively within a matrix and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive and execution-focused with a strategic mindset.
