We are looking for you,

Senior Manager, Heaters and Boilers to our Chief Engineering Competence Center in the Refining Competence Center. The job is located in one of our locations, preferably within the same location as our production facilities, i.e. Kilpilahti, Porvoo; Maasvlakte, Rotterdam or Tuas, Singapore.

Refining Competence Center (RCC) is a global unit within Neste, bringing best practices and people together to uplift Neste refinery performance to world class. The Chief Engineering competence center is a team consisting of different engineering disciplines. The team is responsible for the standards and specifications which are applied in Neste as well as securing the correct operation and maintenance practices for respective expertise areas. The tasks in the team include seeking of new technologies, developing and benchmarking the best practices and securing correct technical requirements within the strategic partnerships.

Besides working closely within the team, in your role you will collaborate with reliability, maintenance, operations and design engineers. You will also be responsible to secure efficient and transparent communication with the experts of your discipline within the company. Being in the Senior Manager role, you will be in the leading position when making the crucial decisions in your field of expertise to secure a safe, reliable and effective refinery. Your role in our team

• Acting as the leading expert related to heaters boilers in Neste, which includes the framework where the projects or maintenance activities are carried out taking into account the total cost of ownership.
• Responsible for correct technical content in frame agreements and close collaboration with procurement related to vendor selection within Neste
• Owner of the relevant technical specifications related to heaters and boilers in Neste. Setting the requirements regarding safety, availability, maintainability and operations in collaboration with asset management, operation teams and design engineers via the specifications within Neste
• Supporting refineries as the leading specialist of of heaters and boilers in cooperation with the design engineers and site personnel
• Development and ownership of discipline technology best practices and benchmark them against the industry standards.

The best combination to succeed in this role

• Relevant technical degree, e.g. mechanical engineer or similar, preferably B.Sc. or higher
• As a senior manager, the successful candidate should bring relevant 15+ years of industrial experience related to heaters and boilers (engineering, maintenance, operations and/or management)
• Solid knowhow on available solutions and requirements in a refinery environment as well as environmental topics related emissions
• Relevant project experience and knowhow of the requirements in different project phases in an investment project
• Fluent spoken and written English. Other local languages are considered as beneficial
• Demonstrated skills to effectively collaborate, communicate and lead people of different backgrounds
• Ability to obtain techno-economical elements from created solutions and specifications
• Having a safety mindset and ability to create long lasting safe solutions
