Senior Manager, Hardware (RF) R&D
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Hardware (RF) R&D to lead the development of RF and hardware systems for wireless communication products, including WiFi, LTE/4G, and 5G solutions.
This role combines hands-on technical leadership with team management responsibilities, overseeing end-to-end product development from concept to mass production.
Key Responsibilities
1. RF & Hardware Technical Leadership
- Lead RF and hardware design for wireless systems (WiFi, 4G/5G, small cells, etc.)
- Define system architecture, RF specifications, and hardware design approaches
- Oversee design and development of RF front-end modules and power amplifiers (GaAs, LDMOS, GaN)
- Ensure performance meets product and regulatory requirements
2. Product Development & Delivery
- Manage full product lifecycle: requirements design prototyping validation mass production
- Drive timely delivery of new product introduction (NPI)
- Optimize product performance, cost, and manufacturability
- Support troubleshooting and continuous product improvement
3. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and mentor RF/hardware engineering team
- Allocate resources and manage project priorities
- Develop team technical capabilities and ensure knowledge sharing
- Foster a strong engineering and innovation culture
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with system, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams
- Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and ODMs
- Support customer technical discussions and solution proposals
5. Cost, Quality & Process Improvement
- Drive cost optimization initiatives (BOM, design efficiency)
- Ensure product reliability, compliance, and quality standards
- Improve development processes and reduce time-to-market
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 10-15+ years of experience in RF/hardware development
- Strong expertise in: RF system design (WiFi, LTE/4G, 5G, small cells)Power amplifier design (GaAs, LDMOS, GaN) Wireless communication systems
- Proven experience leading engineering teams or projects
- Hands-on experience in full product development lifecycle
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred
- Experience with telecom infrastructure or enterprise wireless products
- Familiarity with international standards and regulatory compliance
- Experience working with global partners or ODM/OEM environments
