The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for the Revenue Recognition and Credit Control for the Asia region.

This position reports to the Senior Finance Director / Regional CFO and is part of the Regional Finance Team located in Singapore and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Own, maintain and manage the revenue recognition policy (for the region) in line with group policies and US GAAP.
  • Review revenue related documents (such as tender documents, sales contracts, purchase orders, LC documents) to determine revenue recognition criteria and to ensure that such criteria are met for accurate and timely recording.
  • Support commercial team to structure deals that would enable fulfillment of company objectives.
  • Develop, implement and effect credit management policies/procedures to minimize credit risk and optimize cash flow
  • Manage, with the help of support staff, the letter of credit process for the region
  • Work on process and system improvements that would bring further efficiency to the Quote-to-Cash process
  • Formally and Informally provide leadership to the AR/RR team

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting/Business/equivalent and/ or professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA)
  • Min 7 years experience in finance and accounting with a focus on revenue recognition & credit management
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP (particularly on revenue recognition)
  • Familiar with letter of credit processes and incoterms
  • Min 3 years experience with ERP and CRM software
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, etc.)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Internal/External audit in Big 4 auditing firms
  • Capital equipment /Life-science equipment environment
  • Mandarin business communication (Simplified and Traditional) to support the review of contract documentation from Hong Kong and Taiwan
