Job Description

Position Summary

This position is to oversee financial controls and ensure compliance across the APAC region. The responsibility includes managing regional accounting activities, overseeing the activities of outsourced partners, and collaborating with senior stakeholders.

This position will need to possess a solid understanding of regional financial regulations, particularly in the logistics and supply chain sectors.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee all controllership functions within APAC region, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely financial reporting in adherence to US GAAP as well as local and international standards (e.g., IFRS).
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, audits, and statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to provide insights, financial guidance, and strategic support for decision-making.
  • Enhance internal controls, ensuring operational efficiency and risk management.
  • Drive the streamlining of processes and systems to optimize regional financial operations.
  • Act as the key point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Independently manage day-to-day operations, demonstrating a hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications Summary

Experience:

This position requires minimum 8-10 years relevant work experience, with a proven track record in MNCs

Education:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) strongly preferred.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated expertise in logistics, supply chain, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP as well as regional accounting standards, regulations and tax frameworks.
  • Exceptional ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with a knack for building trust and collaboration.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP software, Excel)
