Job Description

Position Title: Senior Manager, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) APAC

Location: Singapore

Your role

• Reports to the Director, Health and Safety, APAC DE&C.
• Works closely with APAC Design, Engineering and Construction (DE&C) and Operations teams to provide strategic and operational H&S guidance.
• Collaborates with the global H&S community to align local execution with regional and global priorities.
• Engages externally with General Contractors, customers, vendors, regulators, auditors and industry bodies.
• Operates with a high degree of autonomy and professional judgement, influencing decisions across multiple sites and functions.
  
  

What You'll Do

• Leads the implementation of Safely Powering Progress across APAC construction and operations activities.
• Drives effective implementation of the Global Construction Safety Standards (GCSS) across construction projects.
• Ensures global standards are translated into practical, risk-based local execution.
• Acts as a trusted H&S advisor to APAC leadership.
• Influences strategic decisions, operational planning and project delivery outcomes.
• Strengthens critical risk management and safety culture across a complex, multi-site environment.
• Partner with the business, General Contractors, Customers, Vendors and Suppliers to embed safety into day-to-day delivery.
• Provide clear, risk-based advice.
• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of the Health & Safety Management System.
• Drive consistent application of GCSS across construction projects.
• Oversee high-risk activities and critical control effectiveness.
• Monitor and analyse safety performance through meaningful KPIs and assurance activities.
• Lead or support incident investigations and ensure robust root cause analysis.
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
• Provide concise, insight-driven reporting to senior leadership.
• Promote a proactive, accountable safety culture.
  
  

What You'll Need

• Recognised qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Experience in high-risk industries across multiple countries preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to operate across cultures.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Deep understanding of high-risk activity (HRA) management, and critical controls.
• Strong Health & Safety leadership experience in high-risk, multi-site or mission-critical environments.
• Experience supporting both operations and construction activities.
• Deep understanding of High-Risk Activity (HRA) management and critical controls.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and operate as a trusted advisor.
• Strong regulatory and governance knowledge.
• Experience implementing structured safety frameworks such as GCSS (or equivalent).
