Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Manager, Engineering to lead our engineering team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for driving engineering excellence, overseeing large-scale projects, managing resources, and delivering high-quality solutions that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the engineering team, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and performance management
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery
- Develop and implement engineering strategies, standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, R&D, etc.) to drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines
- Evaluate new technologies and drive technical innovation within the organization
- Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and local regulations
- Build a high-performing engineering culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and excellence
- Report project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, including at least 35 years in a managerial or senior leadership role
- Strong technical expertise combined with proven project and people management skills
- Track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies
- Fluency in English; additional Asian languages are an advantage
- Familiarity with the Singapore and SEA engineering landscape is preferred
