The leadership role for Element Development Reorder (EDR) is a critical contributor to the EDR team, operating as part of the Existing Element Development (EED) function within the Elements & Additive Engineering (E&AE) organization. This role oversees the delivery of state-of-the-art element solutions tailored to the Reorder business, while fostering a cross-functional collaboration mindset to ensure short lead times and efficient end-to-end operational delivery.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead, organize, develop and motivate the Reorder Element Development Singapore team
  • Take ownership of the Reorder business of Element Development, through segmentation of Reorders, Quality up front, Conversion up front and Re-design of elements.
  • Ensure that the team are following the processes, guides, standards etc. for Element Development and support the development and continuous improvement of these
  • Support capacity planning of Element Development by securing a short lead time and flexibility within the workforce
  • Leverage Element Reorders capacity by utilizing internal or external element development capacity
  • Drive the Quality agenda for Elements through the Reorders
  • Support Quality initiatives of Element Development globally and within the team
  • Drive synergies for the Engineering Singapore team and support Existing Element Development through cross collaborative tasks
  • Support Engineering strategic initiatives (both on element and mould)
  • Continuously Develop team capabilities to improve deliveries and flexibility
  • Work together with the team on keeping employee motivation and satisfaction levels
  • Develop the business by implementing industry's best practices to improve on productivity and save cost in the Element development of Reorders

Do you have what it takes

  • Educational & Technical Background: Relevant education in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical field additional leadership and organizational development qualifications will be considered an advantage.
  • Leadership Capability: Demonstrated track record as a solid, effective people leader, with proven experience leading teams and driving results within a formal engineering organization.
  • Strategic & Operational Mindset: Strong end-to-end process ownership and global business mindset, with a proven record of delivering measurable outcomes in team leadership and cross-functional process optimization initiatives.
  • Change management & Stakeholder Management: Solid change management skills exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities to collaborate effectively with all levels of a global, matrixed organization.
  • Cross-Cultural & Global Experience: Established cross-cultural competency and hands-on work experience within large international companies, with the ability to adapt to diverse working environments.
  • Additional Key Skills: Proficiency in project management principles and practices, paired with strong technical flair and a deep understanding of engineering technical requirements and delivery standards.
