The Senior Manager, Global Export Compliance is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive global export compliance programme. This role provides strategic leadership in ensuring adherence to international trade regulations, export control laws, and internal governance standards. The position oversees global compliance operations, strengthens compliance culture, and supports business functions through effective risk management, training, and regulatory engagement.
Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the global export compliance programme
Assess the effectiveness of compliance frameworks and organisational compliance culture across regions
Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities, and implement appropriate remediation plans
Direct global export compliance operations, including:
Export case due diligence
Denied parties screening
Licensing assessments and applications
Product classification and documentation
Ensure accurate application of export control classifications, licensing requirements, and regulatory standards
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support efficient and compliant order processing and operations
Support the development and enhancement of automated export compliance control systems
Design, implement, and manage export compliance training programmes and certification initiatives
Monitor regulatory developments and ensure timely communication of changes to relevant stakeholders
Update policies, procedures, and controls in line with evolving legal and regulatory requirements
Maintain an effective and well-organised global compliance function focused on risk prevention and regulatory adherence
Act as subject matter expert during internal audits, external audits, and regulatory reviews
Lead, mentor, and develop global compliance team members
Contribute to long-term compliance strategy and organisational governance initiatives
Support supply chain compliance, partner management, and cross-border risk mitigation efforts
Promote high standards of ethics, accountability, and regulatory responsibility across the organisation
Bachelor's degree in International Business, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
Extensive experience in global export compliance, regulatory oversight, and programme management
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, export control frameworks, and licensing requirements
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement enterprise-wide compliance programmes
Proven leadership experience managing cross-border and multicultural teams
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
Strong strategic planning, organisational, and project management capabilities
Good understanding of global data privacy and regional compliance requirements
High level of professional integrity and ethical standards
Ability to operate effectively in a complex, multinational business environment
