Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Account Management
Serve as the main contact person from DISG for a portfolio of companies (e.g. Google, Alibaba, Facebook, SAP etc.)
Cultivate strategic relationships and build trust with key company executives
Develop deep understanding of clients multi-faceted needs and operations to implement and execute coherent client engagement strategies
Lead the execution of projects and initiatives related to portfolios of companies
Identify, negotiate and structure project opportunities to secure win-win outcomes for clients and Singapore
Collaborate with other teams in DISG and in other parts of the Singapore Government for project development, related negotiations and smooth execution of end-to-end account management process
Industry Analysis and Strategy Development
Lead/ undertake initiatives/ thematic analysis of emerging technology areas, such as AI, cybersecurity, talent, and infrastructure
Formulate strategies and develop value propositions to champion for Singapore's digital economy
Co-develop, influence and provide input (where relevant) on policies or product/ service development to appropriate teams in DISG and/or rest of Singapore government on policies or product/ service development (e.g. in incentive design, trade policies)
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to co-create solutions and ideas to enable partnerships with different ecosystem players (e.g. companies, education institutions, government agencies etc.)
[What we are looking for]
To meet the challenges of this role, you must have/be:
At least 6 - 8 years of relevant work experience experience in technology sector, account management, business development, strategy development, and public sector experience would be advantageous. A candidate found suitable at the Assistant Vice President level would be expected to lead a team
Keen interest in the digital industry with a strong desire to understand technological trends that influence the industry
Strong conceptual & analytical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken including ability and experience in engaging stakeholders
Self-motivated and positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a team player
