Job Summary: Based in Singapore, the Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy will be responsible for leading strategy projects or sub-projects at the corporate or business area level in interdisciplinary teams. Asia represents a key pillar of their growth strategy and will be the primary geographic focus of the position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Focus on the strategic development of the company's businesses in Asia.
- Support the Technologies business, both in today's core business and in building new businesses globally.
- Lead strategy projects or sub-projects at the corporate or business area level in interdisciplinary teams.
- Manage and coordinate key elements of the Group-wide strategy process, including market and competitor analyses to define and facilitate growth initiatives.
- Contribute to M&A projects together with a Senior Manager M&A, for example:
- Defining strategic search fields
- Creating long- and shortlists based on strategic fit.
- Analysing business plans
- Developing value creation and post-merger integration plans (including PMO support).
- Support activities in the Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) area, e.g., leading projects in the CVC environment.
- Prepare decision-making materials for the Executive Board.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or natural sciences with strong technical ability; ideally complemented by an MBA or PhD as well as international experience.
Experience:
- At least six years of professional experience at a top-tier management firm consultancy (e.g., MBB) and/or in Corporate Strategy / Development within an international industrial group.
- Proven track record of successfully delivered strategy projects (organic and inorganic growth; expansion of product portfolio).
- Strong technical and methodological expertise combined with a pragmatic, hands-on mentality.
- Excellent conceptual and analytical skills.
- Ability to present complex topics clearly and in a target-group-oriented manner.
Sector Experience:
- Sector experience in the B2B sector around manufacturing technologies, automation, and process optimisation.
Skills:
- Industry knowledge in mechanical engineering and software is an advantage.
- Excellent command of Microsoft 365 (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
