Job Summary
As a key member of Traveloka's Business Strategy & Planning function within the Management department's CEO Office, the Senior Manager, Business Strategy & Planning will anchor efforts to align business operations with the company's mission and goals. Leveraging the team's focus on pricing, growth, and strategic initiatives, this senior role will bridge cross-functional collaboration and high-impact strategy execution to advance the company's market position and deliver value to travelers and partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Research and analyze industry and competitive trends to pinpoint emerging market opportunities and high-priority strategic focus areas
- Identify, prioritize, and develop implementation plans for product and service improvement initiatives that drive business growth
- Source, negotiate, and finalize strategic partnerships encompassing financial arrangements, customer sharing, and inventory acquisition to expand market reach
- Build and refine complex forecasting models, budgets, and resource allocation plans to support seamless project execution and financial goal attainment
- Lead the design and deployment of strategic frameworks and governance routines to optimize vertical and country-level growth strategies across domains and locales
- Oversee cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Commercial, Pricing, and Finance teams to define and execute plans that consistently meet financial targets
- Support execution of corporate transactions (including fundraising and M&A) by conducting market and financial due diligence, identifying priority opportunities, and creating stakeholder-facing presentation materials
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership by synthesizing market research findings and delivering actionable recommendations that shape company strategy
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Analytics, Finance, or a related quantitative field from a reputable university (MBA, Master's, or PhD in these fields is a plus)
- Minimum of 7 years of working experience, with a preferred background in business strategy development, corporate strategy, or strategic/management consulting
- Strong analytical mindset with advanced skills in distilling insights from diverse data sources, building financial models, and understanding P&L levers to drive top and bottom-line growth
- Proven expertise in managing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, with a track record of delivering results within deadlines and a bias for action
- Excellent cross-functional and cross-geography collaboration skills, with the ability to proactively engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational
