Senior Manager, Business Development & Sustainability

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Growth & Network Expansion

. Drives and support the execution the multi-year roadmap for Vita Coco's sourcing and production expansion across Southeast Asia based on defined and aligned strategic framework

. Support the development of long-term partnerships framework and contracting principles, coordinating with Finance, Legal, Planning, and Tech teams to ensure respective standards are captured

. Lead feasibility and duediligence assessments for new partners and facilities, ensuring commercial, technical, and ESG standards are met

. Develop diversification and risk mitigation strategies to manage political, market, and climate-related volatility

2. Market Intelligence & Insight

. Develop and maintain regional market intelligence agenda, enabling teams with a forward-looking understanding of agricultural trends and supply dynamics across Southeast Asia

. Anticipate and evaluate emerging risk and opportunities, translating insights to support sourcing strategies and risk mitigation plans

. Support and coordinate business case development for new sourcing or ESG initiatives, ensuring inputs from relevant stakeholders are aligned to inform capital allocation, co-manoptimization, and long-term capacity planning

. Build and maintain a comprehensive regional supply map to guide strategic sourcing decisions and identify gaps or opportunities for expansion and resilience

3. Supplier Systems & Processes

. Coordinate and work with technical and planning stakeholders to establish a supplier classification framework to assess maturity, capability and performance across the network

. Develop the structure for how supplier information, metrics, and ESG data are captured, tracked, and shared -forming the foundation for a future vendor management system.

4. Responsible Sourcing & ESG

. Establish and embed responsible sourcing and traceability standards into supplier selection and management systems to ensure ESG is integrated into business growth

. Build and integrate ESG metrics and tools into sourcing and production workflows in partnership with the technical and SIS teams, enabling supplier performance tracking and continuous improvement (e.g. HowGood, integrity scorecards)

. Map and analyze agricultural practices, supply trends, and climate risks to identify key sustainability opportunities and risks and inform sourcing innovation and long-term growth strategies

. Collaborate with SIS and Vita Coco Community Foundation teams to design and fund programs that strengthen smallholder livelihoods, social impact, regenerative agriculture, and climate resilience

• Establish an agronomy network across Southeast Asia, prioritizing collaboration with government agricultural ministries, to support responsible sourcing, innovation, and capacity building
• Develop and institutionalize best-in-class agronomic practices and varietal insights to improve coconut quality, yield, and ecosystem resilience, embedding this knowledge into sourcing and supplier engagement strategies
