Responsible for leading and executing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities across the recycling plant. This role ensures high equipment reliability, plant uptime, and compliance with Singapore safety and environmental regulations.
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Troubleshoot and repair crushers, shredders, conveyors, furnaces, dust collection systems, and material handling equipment
Diagnose PLC-controlled systems and automated production lines
Ensure minimal downtime and rapid response to equipment breakdowns
Follow proper lockout-tagout (LOTO) and confined space procedures
Support emergency response procedures for fire, chemical spills, or battery thermal incidents
Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules
Maintain maintenance records using CMMS
Analyze equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements
Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement
Analyze equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements
Supervise and mentor junior technicians
Support contractors during major overhauls or shutdowns
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Job Requirements:
NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field
Minimum 5-8 years of maintenance experience in industrial plants (chemical, recycling, semiconductor, oil & gas, or heavy manufacturing preferred)
Experience in lithium battery recycling, e-waste, chemical processing, or metallurgical operations
Possess knowledge of lithium-ion battery hazards and thermal runaway risks
Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and control panels
Experience with PLC troubleshooting (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
Familiarity with hazardous materials handling
Experience working in ATEX or dust-explosion risk environments
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
