Senior Legal Executive / Legal Executive

Opal Lawyers LLC is a specialty law firm in Singapore with focus in providing legal services in the field of corporate finance work and corporate compliance advisory work for listed companies. Our areas of practice include initial public offering, mergers and acquisitions, share placements, listing and corporate compliance work. Due to our growing portfolio of work, we are inviting applicants to join us for the position of Senior Legal Executive / Legal Executive.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting and/or reviewing of legal agreements and documents
• Conduct legal research and other research on SGX listed companies and matters relating to SGX listing rules
• Assist in corporate secretarial and SGX listing compliance work including drafting and/or reviewing of resolutions, announcements and shareholders circulars for listed companies, corporate governance and compliance matters, and dealing with ACRA
• Assist in any other duties as assigned by the Director and lawyers

Requirements:

• Degree in Law or equivalent with at least 3 years to 5 years of post-qualification experience in the area of corporate law. Candidates in both private practice or in-house roles will be considered
• Good writing and communication skills in English
• Fluency in Business Mandarin will be advantageous due to need to communicate, correspond and liaise frequently with Mandarin-speaking clients and business counterparts who conduct business primarily in Mandarin
• Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel)
• Possess initiative, positive attitude and able to work independently
