About the Role
Support Singtel Digital InfraCo's growth and investments across digital and AI infrastructure in the region. The portfolio includes Nxera's AI-ready regional data centres, RE:AI cloud and compute infrastructure, fibre cable investments and satellite capacity.
The role will be at the forefront of a fast-growing industry, partnering closely with business and leadership teams to support Singtel's regional growth ambitions.
Make an Impact by
- Act as a legal business partner for strategic projects and investments, including data centre greenfield and brownfield developments, AI compute fit-outs, fibre networks, satellite infrastructure, capital raising and M&A activities.
- Provide timely, practical and commercially balanced legal advice, working closely with internal stakeholders to support business decisions and manage legal and commercial risks.
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial and infrastructure agreements, particularly relating to infrastructure development, project financing, power procurement, cloud and infrastructure services, procurement, and strategic partnerships/collaborations.
- Partner with the business to establish appropriate legal and risk strategies that support commercial objectives.
- Advise the business on new markets, business models and strategic initiatives, including navigating evolving legal and regulatory considerations.
- Develop a strong understanding of the business's strategic and commercial drivers to provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions.
- Manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively within a fast-paced regional environment.
Skills for Success
- Law degree from a recognized university and qualification to practise law in Singapore or another relevant jurisdiction.
- At least 8 years of relevant legal experience, gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house environment.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, legal advisory and research capabilities.
- Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: infrastructure/projects, data centres, energy/power, technology/AI, project financing, corporate transactions and M&A.
- Experience advising on infrastructure development and/or complex commercial contracts would be advantageous.
- In-house experience is preferred but not essential.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to provide pragmatic and risk-balanced legal advice.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented, with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative working style.
- Self-starter who is comfortable operating in new and evolving areas.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
