Senior Legal Counsel
Responsibilities:
- Manage claims/litigations including working with various counter parties, liaising with/instructing external counsels, and working with insurers as appropriate.
- Provide oversight/legal support on commercial and financial transactions of the Group such as joint ventures, vendor and B2B transactions, leasing agreements and general corporate/commercial transactions which may include drafting/reviewing all relevant legal documentation to ensure compliance and minimizing of risks to the Group.
- Provide oversight/guidance to overseas entities as required.
- Provide guidance and mentorship on legal matters to team members.
- Attend to any other legal matters.
Job Requirements & Attributes:
- A law degree from a recognized university and admitted to the Singapore Bar.
- A senior lawyer with more than 10 years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE), with excellent track record as in-house legal counsel or in private practice, with experience in corporate/commercial transactions
- Experience in ligation matters relating to medical/ personal injury claims and or tortious matters would be advantageous.
- Independent worker who is resourceful, hands-on and able to lead, teach and mentor.
- Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to connect and interact well with others
- Problem-solving skills with an ability to identify issues and work with the relevant stakeholders to resolve.
- Excellent in written and spoken communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Mandarin would be an advantage.
- Resilient, adaptable and meticulous.
