Senior Legal Counsel, Manufacturing

Our client is a global manufacturing organisation with a strong and growing presence across the Asia Pacific region. Operating in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment, the business partners closely with regional and global stakeholders to drive innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

They are now seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to act as the lead legal representative in APAC, supporting regional operations while engaging regularly with global leadership.

Key Responsibilities of this Senior Legal Counsel, Manufacturing:

• Serve as the primary legal advisor to business leaders across APAC, providing commercially focused legal guidance
• Act as a trusted partner to global leadership, contributing to strategic decision-making and risk management
• Lead and develop a regional legal function, ensuring consistent and high-quality support
• Advise on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements
• Provide oversight and guidance on compliance frameworks, including regulatory, anti-bribery, and internal policies
• Partner with HR and leadership on employment-related matters, including workforce strategy and risk mitigation
• Manage disputes and external counsel across jurisdictions, ensuring efficient and cost-effective outcomes
• Identify and mitigate legal risks while enabling business growth across diverse markets

Key Requirements of this Senior Legal Counsel, Manufacturing:

• Qualified lawyer with substantial post-qualification experience gained in-house and/or in private practice
• Strong expertise in corporate and commercial law, with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach
• Demonstrated experience advising on compliance and employment law matters
• Proven ability to manage multi-jurisdictional legal issues across APAC
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and leadership teams
• Prior exposure to the India and/or China markets is highly advantageous
