Job Description
- Provide legal advice and guidance to support business operations and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and internal policies.
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
- Manage legal risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Support the resolution of disputes and manage litigation processes when necessary.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address legal and regulatory issues.
- Monitor changes in legislation and advise on their potential impact on the organisation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of corporate governance frameworks.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Senior Legal Counsel Should Have
- A strong background in legal practice, particularly in the financial services industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- A professional legal qualification from a recognised institution.
