Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with stakeholder management with regulators, private and public sector enterprises in the energy sector with power transmission and distribution.
- Experience in energy infrastructure development, evaluation, acquisition, and site selection.
- Experience with energy transaction structuring and execution in Asia-Pacific (APAC) power markets (e.g., wholesale and retail), utility rates, renewable energy technologies, or infrastructure project management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience managing utility agreements and energy-related issues, and in financial modeling and implementing clean energy initiatives.
- Experience developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with private and public organizations to deliver shared objectives and projects.
- Ability to think outside the box and propose commercially and technically creative solutions.
- Knowledge of Asia-Pacific power generation, grid operations, regulations, and market structures.
- Excellent problem-solving in ambiguous environments, executive presence, communication, and project management skills.

As a Lead for Origination and Partnerships within the Clean Energy and Power team, you will originate critical energy transactions and partnerships across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, directly enabling the growth of Google's data center portfolio and the achievement of the carbon-free energy goals. You will be required to manage relationships at high levels with key external suppliers including utilities and clean energy developers collaborating with cross-functional teams and strategic negotiators to ensure good stakeholder management throughout the origination process until agreement execution and wider partnerships across the region.

Responsibilities
- Lead the origination of a pipeline of clean energy and power projects at the early development stage and initiate regional partnerships across APAC to secure power and energy for Google data centers, and mitigate operational risks.
- Work with the strategic negotiators to manage the originated agreements through to execution including negotiations, due diligence and risk assessment.
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with public and private companies (including utilities, developers, data center providers, etc.) and consortium that can deliver power and energy to Google in line with its demand and requirements.
- Help to set strategy for the origination and partnership development for procurement of energy in support of Google's infrastructure needs and clean energy goals.
- Help drive Google's regional data center expansion through strategy definition and implementation for complex power and energy projects.
