Our client, a leading international private bank, is seeking an experienced AML/KYC professional to join their team. This role focuses on managing AML/KYC risks related to PEP periodic reviews and high-risk account openings, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD) periodic reviews for PEP and other high-risk clients.
- Investigate and resolve KYC-related issues raised during PEP or high-risk periodic reviews from first-line teams.
- Perform EDD reviews for high-risk/PEP account openings when required.
- Respond to queries from internal stakeholders (AML Front Control, Front Office, Operations) and external/internal auditors on KYC matters.
- Liaise with IT teams to address system issues and support enhancements (e.g., Nepal, Avaloq, Content Manager).
- Manage ad-hoc projects and unblock transactions when necessary.
- Prepare monthly management reports, including Branch Management Committee updates and Group KRI submissions.
Requirements:
- Degree or professional qualification in Business, Accounting, or Law.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant KYC experience within a financial institution, with strong knowledge of Singapore regulations (Banking Act, SFA, FAA).
- Private banking experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
- Proactive, independent, and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
