Position
The department of Corporate and Support Functions IT (CSI) is responsible for the development and maintenance of risk and finance applications, used by end users worldwide. Our Risks IT (RIT) section handles applications responsible for risk data collection, risk calculation and monitoring for CA-CIB worldwide.
We are looking for a senior Team Manager to join Risk IT Section. The team handles the development of transversal and international projects.
Main responsibilities
Provide Team Leadership
Manage the team's recruitments, objectives setting, appraisal and performance review.
Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.
Motivate and inspire team members by setting a good example (role model).
Help develop team members help resolve dysfunctional behavior.
Strive for team consensus and win-win situation.
Ensure discussions and decisions lead toward conclusion.

Ensure that the team members are equipped and trained effectively to participate in the team.

Focus the Team on Customer Requirements
Build Roadmap for Short-term to Long-term.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholder as necessary.
Initiate sub-groups or sub-teams as appropriate to resolve issues and perform tasks in parallel.
Coordinate Team Logistics
Ensure deliverables are prepared in line with the requirements.
Help keep the team focused and on track.
Work with other IT Managers and Head of Sections and Departments to obtain necessary resources to support the team's requirements.
Establish meeting times, places, and agendas.
Communicate team status, task accomplishment, and direction
Analyze status reporting of team activities against the program plan or schedule.
Keep the Head of department and section informed of task accomplishment, issues, and status.
Serve as a focal point to communicate and resolve interface and integration issues with other teams and business partners.
Escalate issues which cannot be resolved within the team.
Provide guidance to the team based on management direction.
Business - Delivery management
Reach agreement on plans for projects and services provided by the team.
Lead design, implementation, and integration in the solutions.
Ensure the projects, activities and tasks under the team's responsibility are performed within quality standards, on schedule and cost-effectively.
Manage budget and capacity allocation according to priorities.
Ensure each solution developed by the team fulfills the client needs.
Business - Delivery management
Reach agreement on plans for projects and services provided by the team.
Lead design, implementation, and integration in the solutions.
Ensure the projects, activities and tasks under the team's responsibility are performed within quality standards, on schedule and cost-effectively.

Lean Management - Practices
Ensure an effective performance dialogue and meeting cascade are in place, facilitating team performance improvement and the escalation of problems.
Ensure the capacity of the team is actively managed to meet defined priorities and sustain Continuous Improvement.
Ensure problems affecting the team's effectiveness are proactively addressed and their resolution followed-up.
Ensure the team's identified improvement actions are regularly implemented and followed according to the defined governance.
Ensure the formalization and correct application of standard processes and best practices known to the team, aiming at operational efficiency and cover of operational risks.
Ensure personal development objectives are defined in alignment with resource development needs and followed using a matrix mapping everyone's skills to the main activities and processes of the team.

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Bachelor and above in relevant discipline
Qualifications and Profile
This position requires a minimum of 10 years exposure in Software Engineer field (as a developer, tech lead and project manager)
Mandatory 3+ years of experience in IT Project Management.
Mandatory 3+ years of experience as an IT Team head in charge of in-house application development

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Awareness of various software development procedures
Strong knowledge on database and data centric architecture
