Capiteq is a leading technology firm headquartered in Singapore and Hong Kong, specialising in mission-critical infrastructure for financial trading organisations across Asia. We manage and architect the systems that keep trading platforms, market data feeds, and financial operations running - for hedge funds, brokers, and financial institutions where downtime is not an option.
We are expanding our Senior team and are looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer with deep hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. You will own cloud deployments, lead escalations, drive design decisions, and shape the cloud environments of our financial sector clients across the region.
Note: This role is open to candidates based in Singapore holding an Employment Pass, Permanent Residency, or Citizenship only.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Deploy and architect Microsoft Azure environments including VMs, storage, networking, IAM, and monitoring
- Own DR strategy, backup design, and encryption across client tenants
- Enforce cloud governance, tagging standards, and cost efficiency
- Lead troubleshooting of escalated issues across Azure and hybrid environments
- Drive automation through PowerShell scripting; exposure to Terraform and Ansible is an advantage
- Strong experience managing Windows Servers
- SQL Server experience is a plus
- Experience with supporting Citrix technologies.
Microsoft 365 & Identity
- Administer Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Defender, and Purview
- Own conditional access policies, licensing, compliance configurations, and identity lifecycle management
- Drive endpoint security posture across client organisations
- Manage enterprise identity infrastructure including Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID
- Lead or support VAPT coordination and remediation activities on behalf of clients
Virtualisation & Hybrid Platforms
- Architect and support VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and HCI environments
- Handle VM provisioning, migrations, and performance tuning
- Design and build infrastructure environments from the ground up, including greenfield client onboarding
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Own enterprise backup platforms (Veeam, Commvault, Zerto)
- Lead DR testing cycles and maintain business continuity documentation to audit-ready standard
Security Operations
- Monitor and respond to SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection alerts
- Enforce MFA, DLP, and compliance standards across ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIST frameworks
- Own patch management and vulnerability remediation across client environments
Collaboration & Change Management
- Partner with L1 and L3 teams to resolve incidents and deliver infrastructure changes
- Participate in CAB processes; document change impacts clearly and accurately
- Translate technical detail for client stakeholders without losing accuracy
What We're Looking For
Technical
- Expert-level hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 - this is the core requirement
- Strong virtualisation background in VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V
- Proven experience building Azure infrastructure environments, not just administering them
- Solid grounding in Active Directory, Windows Server, and Citrix Cloud
- Experience with enterprise backup platforms (Veeam, Commvault, or equivalent)
- Endpoint security experience with CrowdStrike and/or Microsoft Defender
- Background in financial services or trading environments is a significant advantage
