Introduction

TLS (Technology Life Cycle Services) is part of IBM Infrastructure Organization. It provides hardware and software installation, implementation, migration and support for IBM and non IBM products. The staff are mostly client facing and well trained. They help clients during hardware and software purchases to quickly getting into productive usage through the services that we provide. The team also provides critical 24x7 hours onsite support to clients as part of ongoing maintenance support.

Your Role And Responsibilities

Position is for a senior Z software specialist. Role of this job is the provision of consultation and services to IBM Z clients, i.e. mainly banks and government accounts.

Competent in handling zOS and Linux operating systems such as configration setup, OS upgrade and migration, Z data replication and migration across storages in same ( PPRC, TDMF ) and remote locations (GDPS). Additional knowledge into Z software such as CICS, DB2, MQ, Z Security, Omegamon providing consultation, planning and software version migration and upgrades. Candidate must possess deepskills in the operating systems on IBM mainframe and at least 3 software product knowledge to reasonably be able to carry out this job. Some travel might be required to handle solution support, client escalations and project support in other ASEAN countries in short notice. Candidate will also be expected to provide support to clients during off office hours.

Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer engineering with 5-10 years experience.
  • Deep technical skills in Z/OS, ZLinux and Z software such as CICS, DB2, MQ, Z Security, Omegamon, familiar with the usage of data migration tools such as TDMF and PPRC.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.
  • Additional skills with project leadership, teamwork, strategic thinking, and client-facing skills, such as training and presenting.
