Job Description
We are seeking an IT Operations Engineer with strong expertise in infrastructure operations, cloud platforms, cyber security, and hybrid environments. This role will take end to end ownership of IT infrastructure and data centre services for the Singapore site, being a part of both on premise and cloud platforms, while working closely with global teams in Switzerland.Job Description:
- Own and manage IT infrastructure and data centre operations, including compute, storage, networking, backup, on perm, and cloud environments.
- Monitor, operate, and maintain systems under frameworks (incident, problem, change management).
- Perform system monitoring, patching, health checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Handle and resolve cyber security incidents, coordinating with internal security and global teams.
- L2 and L3 operation across Singapore and Switzerland.
- Drive infrastructure modernisation, standardisation, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Implement automation, monitoring, and process improvements to enhance reliability and reduce manual effort.
- Be a part of infrastructure and security projects, including upgrades, migrations, testing, and transition to operations.
- Manage and oversee Managed Service Providers (MSPs), including performance, security compliance, SLAs, budgets, and contracts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong expertise in IT infrastructure operations in enterprise or regulated environments.
- Hands‑on expertise with:Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, file/print, clustering)Linux (RHEL or equivalent) administration and scriptingMicrosoft Azure (VMs, VNets, NSGs, Storage, Azure AD/Entra ID, Azure Backup, Azure Monitor)Hybrid cloud environments, VPN/ExpressRoute, identity integration, Microsoft 365
- DevOps tools and practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS) is a plus.
- Strong focus on automation, monitoring, observability, and alerting.
- MAS or financial regulatory environments is an advantage.
- Excellent problem‑solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate is a hands‑on IT Operations Engineer with strong ownership of enterprise‑grade infrastructure and cloud operations in a financial or regulated environment. They combine deep technical expertise with a proactive, an accountability mindset and are comfortable operating across on‑premises and hybrid cloud platforms. They bring solid expertise in Windows and Linux system administration, Microsoft Azure, networking, and security operations, with the ability to work with L2/L3 incidents, perform RCA and ensure high availability, performance, and compliance. The candidate is capable in handling cybersecurity incidents, patching, monitoring, and operational governance under ITIL standards.
