Job Description

About the Role

In this role, you will act as a trusted investment strategist to some of the most sophisticated Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) individuals and Family Offices across South East Asia and North Asia.

Working in close partnership with the Relationship Managers, you will be the subject matter expert on multi-asset class portfolios, ensuring that our clients receive proactive, disciplined, and bespoke investment advice. If you possess a deep understanding of global macro dynamics and are fluent in both English and Chinese to engage with North Asian clientele, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Advisory: Provide pro-active, high-touch investment advice on multi-asset-class portfolios directly to UHNW Private Clients, Family Offices, and RMs. You will be the critical link between market opportunities and client objectives.
  • Portfolio Oversight: Conduct regular, disciplined portfolio reviews. You will monitor portfolios against changing macro conditions and client life events, ensuring alignment with the bank's recommendation frameworks and risk controls.
  • Client Engagement: Pro-actively engage clients with meaningful market updates and actionable investment recommendations. You will be responsible for the timely execution, confirmation, and supervision of client orders.
  • Business Growth: Partner with RMs to drive AUM and MIS product acquisition. This includes leading client meetings, crafting compelling investment proposals, and participating in marketing initiatives to deepen client relationships.
  • Collaboration & Compliance: Work closely with internal Markets & Investment (MIS) teams to align on campaigns. Maintain strict adherence to all legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements, ensuring that all advice is rendered with a disciplined risk-controlled approach.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a seasoned professional who is autonomous yet collaborative, with an open-minded and curious approach to markets. You should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where your judgment and expertise directly impact client portfolios.

  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of working experience in similar capacity
  • Education: Relevant degree in Accounting, Banking, or Finance from a leading Business School or University.
  • Certifications: CACS and/or CFA charterholder status is highly preferred.
  • Technical Acumen: In-depth understanding of control functions, risk management, and banking regulations across all asset classes.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in both English and Chinese is mandatory, as this role requires regular dealings with native-speaking clients across the Greater China and North Asia regions.
