The Role

We are looking for an Investment Associate / Senior Associate to join our deal team. You will work across the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and evaluating opportunities to executing transactions and supporting portfolio companies.

This is a high-ownership role with direct exposure to partners, founders and co-investors. It suits someone who wants to build a career at the intersection of private equity and AI in Asia.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including operating models, valuation analyses (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions) and returns scenarios.

• Lead or support commercial, financial and operational due diligence, coordinating external advisors such as accountants, lawyers and technical consultants.

• Research AI trends, competitive landscapes and regulatory developments across Asian markets.

• Prepare investment memos and Investment Committee presentations that set out the thesis, risks and value-creation plan.

• Source and screen new opportunities through networks, industry events and outreach to founders and intermediaries.

• Support deal execution, including term sheet negotiation, transaction documentation and closing.

• Monitor portfolio company performance, contribute to board materials and help drive value-creation initiatives.

• Contribute to fundraising and LP reporting materials as needed.

What We're Looking For

• 5–10 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, corporate development or equity research.

• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with the ability to build models from scratch.

• Proven experience conducting rigorous research and due diligence.

• Sound analytical judgment and the ability to form and defend an independent investment view.

• Clear, concise written and verbal communication, including materials for senior audiences.

• Genuine interest in technology and AI, and how they are reshaping businesses across Asia.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, computer science or a related field; CFA, MBA or a technical postgraduate degree is a plus.

• Professional fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or other regional languages is highly valued.

We use AI tools throughout our investment process and value team members who do the same. Strong candidates will be able to show:

• Practical use of AI tools, such as large language model assistants and AI research platforms, to speed up research, diligence and document review.

• Experience using AI to support modelling, data analysis or workflow automation.

• An informed view on AI business models, technical defensibility, and where the technology is and isn't creating real value.

• Bonus: familiarity with Python, SQL or data tools, or experience building internal AI workflows.
