Senior Interior Designer

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Ownership: Manage the full design lifecycle-from initial conceptualization and space planning to final handover of mid to high values design and build projects.

• Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for individuals or corporate clients. Pitch designs, manage expectations, and handle difficult site conversations with professional tact.

• Technical Documentation: Produce and review detailed construction drawings (M&E, carpentry, floor plans). Ensure all designs are feasible and comply with HDB, BCA, and SCDF (Fire Safety) regulations.

• Vendor & Contractor Liaison: Work closely with our Project Manager and external sub-contractors. You must be able to speak their language to ensure design intent is translated perfectly on-site.

• Budget & Timeline Oversight: Responsible for project P&L. Ensure materials are sourced within budget and projects are delivered on schedule to avoid liquidated damages.

• Mentorship: Review the work of Junior Designers, providing guidance on 3D rendering quality, material selection, and site coordination.

  Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in the Singapore ID industry with a strong portfolio of completed local projects.

  • Software Mastery: Expert in AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray/Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Singaporean construction methods, material costs (laminates, quartz, sintered stone), and local building codes.

  • Sales & Pitching: Proven track record of closing design contracts and managing project budgets exceeding S$100k.

  • Communication: Excellent command of English. Ability to speak Mandarin or dialects is a significant advantage for communicating with local site uncles and contractors.
