Job Description

We're a fast-growing tech company with several product lines and businesses, and we're expanding across Asia Pacific. We're looking for a senior lawyer to be our go-to counsel for Singapore and our cross-border work. You'll work directly with leadership and our existing legal team.

What you'll own

Structuring how we engage people across our markets: contractor vs. employee classification, contractor agreements, and the local requirements that come with opening up a new country
Commercial contracts: client MSAs and pilot terms, NDAs, DPAs, and vendor, partnership and reseller deals
Licensing: recruitment and employment agency requirements in the markets we operate in or plan to enter, and BPO licensing as we take on delivery work
Corporate and regulatory matters: entity housekeeping, intercompany agreements across our Singapore and Australia entities, and ACRA, IRAS and MOM touchpoints
PDPA compliance, covering applicant notices, consent flows and cross-border transfers, and working with our security and compliance programs, including SOC 2
Briefing our external counsel across jurisdictions, reviewing what comes back, and holding turnaround times
Advising on new business lines and market entry as we launch them
Practical, fast advice that the business can act on the same day

What you bring

Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in good standing, with 10+ years of practice
Broad corporate, commercial and labour experience, ideally gained at a top firm and then in-house
Comfortable working across jurisdictions you are not admitted in: scoping the question, instructing local counsel, and giving the business a view it can act on
Experience with tech, outsourcing or high-growth companies
Data privacy experience is a big plus
Writes clearly, works independently, and is comfortable remote and in a fast-moving startup
