Job Description

We are pleased to be partnering a well-established Civil Engineering provider in Singapore to appoint a Senior HR Business Partner (circa. $108k annual base) into their organisation. With a strong legacy of delivering landmark and complex projects across Singapore, the client is committed to innovation, quality and the development of their people. This role will be based in Singapore.

Job Description

This is a strategic leadership role where you will be responsible for both team management responsibility and direct portfolio ownership. You will work closely with Project Directors and department heads to align people strategies with business and project objectives in a dynamic, project-driven environment.

  • Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 2x HRBPs, providing strategic guidance and support for their respective portfolios.
  • Strategic Business Partnering: Serve as the dedicated HRBP for your own portfolio of corporate functions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with senior leaders and line managers across all assigned departments. Provide high-level coaching and advisory support on all people-related matters.
  • Talent & Workforce Strategy: Drive workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning initiatives to build a robust pipeline of future leaders.
  • Organisational Effectiveness: Champion a high-performance culture and lead change management initiatives to support business transformation.
  • HR Metrics & Insights: Utilise data and analytics to inform decision-making and develop strategic HR solutions that drive business performance.

The Successful Candidate

  • Ideally 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with significant experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably within the engineering, construction, manufacturing or related sectors.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in managing and developing a team of HR professionals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility with senior leaders.
  • EQ & Agility: High emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate complex organisational dynamics with agility and resilience.
  • Commercial Acumen: A strong understanding of business operations and the ability to align HR strategies with commercial goals.
  • Qualifications: Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
