Recruitment

  1. Maintain HR policies, procedures and handbook pertaining to recruitment and re-employment matters to ensure that it is up-to-date
  2. Maintain an updated and accurate manpower planning database
  3. Generate recruitment statistics and reports on a regular basis or as/and when required by statutory regulatory
  4. Send notifications to all affected parties of new-joiners on a monthly basis or as and when required
  5. Plan and facilitiate new hire induction sessions
  6. Coordinate with MOE to ensure all teachers and relief teachers are MOE registered
  7. Work with different partners for posting of advertisements on various platforms and recruitment drives / career fairs
  8. Administration of work pass applications (where necessary)
  9. Maintain an up-to-date record of budget utilisation for recruitment accounts
  10. Ensure a steady state flow of staffing including a pipeline of potential candidates
  11. Work closely with line managers to identify and meet recruitment needs
  12. Screen and shortlist applicants through our recruitment portals
  13. Schedule candidates for interviews and send timely updates
  14. Perform reference checks and job offers to potential candidates
  15. Create personnel files and ensure required documents are collected
  16. Prepare letters pertaining to staff recruitment

Training and Development

  1. Administer training applications and track approval flows in the training system
  2. Manage appropriate utilisation of training grants from external sources
  3. Advise staff on the prevailing policies and procedures pertaining to the training guidelines
  4. Source, evaluate and coordinate school wide professional development programmes for Education Support Staff (non-academic staff)
  5. Ensure all staff submit a post learning evaluation after each training session
  6. Evaluate and recommend suitable learning activities for staff and managers upon request
  7. Any other duties assigned by the School

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in HR Recruitment and Training/ Development
  • Excellent IT skills especially for recruitment systems/portals as well as Word and Excel to present information for databases and management reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and an eye for detail
  • Clear and logical thinking
  • Strong planning, organisation and time management skills with an ability to work independently on tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build appropriate professional yet friendly working relationships with all levels
  • Able to demonstrate a mutual understanding and respect when dealing with different stakeholders
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding and respect for confidentiality in dealing with all HR issues
  • Able to propose solutions to multi-faceted problems while exercising flexibility
  • Able to present information in a clear and concise manner to new staff and engage them actively and professionally
  • Able to screen candidates appropriately by understanding the line managers needs
  • Able to implement clear strategies to be deployed for effective recruitment results
  • This is a 2-year contract (renewable)
