Our client, a prominent player in the Chemical Manufacturing sector, is looking for a SeniorHSE Engineer to join their growing team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead critical safety and compliance initiatives & requires someone with a Workplace Safety & Health and Fire Safety Certification.
THE ROLE
As an HSE Engineer, your key responsibilities include:
. Driving HSE Standards: Oversee and implement Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, ensuring the organization meets all legal and regulatory requirements.
. Risk Assessment: Conduct regular HSE audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify gaps and develop action plans to address them effectively.
. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE regulations, liaising with authorities and ensuring timely submission of all required permits and reports.
. Incident Management: Act as the lead investigator for workplace incidents, analyzing root causes and driving corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
. Employee Training: Design and deliver safety training programs to foster a culture of safety awareness and compliance within the workforce.
QUALIFICATIONS
. A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
. At least 3-8 years of HSE experience in a process plant or industrial environment, ideally within the chemical or manufacturing sectors.
. Must have WSH Level C certification
. Proven expertise in managing regulatory compliance and HSE management systems.
. Strong analytical and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and levels.
