Senior Health Services Researcher (AI & Advanced Analytics)

Key Responsibilities:

Research (50%)

• Work closely with healthcare professionals to identify problems and formulate research strategies
• Design and conduct health services research, including study design, data analysis and outcome evaluation
• Analyse and interpret healthcare data using statistical tools and machine learning techniques
• Prepare and present findings through conference and journal publications
• Assess and enhance data sources and data-gathering methods

Advanced Analytics & Operational Work (50%)

• Support descriptive and diagnostic analytics initiatives
• Contribute to quality improvement projects
• Build algorithms and design experiments to merge, manage and interrogate data
• Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to solve healthcare-related problems
• Support administrative work related to research and operational activities

Requirements:

• PhD and/or Masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or relevant discipline
• 4 to 5 years of experience in analytics and research
• Expertise in health services research (HSR) and applied statistics, including study design, data analysis and outcome evaluation
• Experience developing and implementing data-driven solutions for healthcare improvement
• Proficiency in AI methodologies such as machine learning and predictive modelling where applicable
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or R
• Experience using Tableau and Microsoft applications
• Proven ability to independently manage projects from conceptualisation through to implementation
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
