PharmEng Technology, part of the Efor Group, is a multi-discipline consultancy providing specialist project management, commissioning and qualification services to our pharmaceutical clients throughout Asia, Europe, and the USA.
Responsibilities including
- Handling the accounts function for group companies in Singapore and overseas
- Executing end-to-end accounting functions, including AP, AR, GL and reconciliation, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Maintaining accounting software (OCI Accounting System and Xero) to track and manage financial data. Ensuring accurate input and maintenance of data in the system.
- Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded for the group.
- Posting journal entries and reconciling the bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy in financial data for the group.
- Preparation of / supporting GST (Singapore), VAT (Ireland / Switzerland) and SST (Malaysia) submissions.
- Managing group tax payments and coordinating with tax authorities.
- Handling the billing of intercompany transactions and the reconciliation of intercompany balances across group entities.
- Liaising with external auditors for year-end audits, providing management accounts with necessary documentation, schedules, and explanations for financial records for the group.
- Liaise with company secretaries on the company's annual returns and statutory filings.
- Maintaining and provide schedules for accrual, prepayment, fixed assets depreciation, fixed deposits, deposits, salary advance, internal loan, and intercompany transactions.
- Liaising with banks on banker guarantees, fixed deposit, fund transfers and other related issues.
Skills / Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience managing full-spectrum finance and accounting functions, for group companies (Singapore and overseas business units), with a proven track record in financial reporting, compliance, and stakeholder management.
- Strong ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and prepare actionable insights for decision-making.
- Experience with use of accounting software including XERO and OCI
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Teams
- Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in tasks.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
