About the Role
We are hiring a senior fund administrator to run the back office across our funds, from NAV and investor registers through to audit. This is a hands-on role covering both open-ended and closed-end funds, with a strong focus on building automation and AI-enabled tooling to take manual work out of fund administration.
Responsibilities
- Produce NAV including pricing and valuation, income and expense accruals, and management and performance fee calculations.
- Maintain the general ledger and capital accounts for each fund, including share class allocations, equalization, capital calls and distributions.
- Act as registrar and transfer agent: process subscriptions, redemptions and transfers, maintain investor registers, and handle investor queries.
- Prepare annual financial statements and manage the audit through to signed accounts.
- Prepare investor reports and capital statements, and support FATCA/CRS and other regulatory and statutory filings.
- Reconcile bank, custodian and prime broker positions, and prepare payments under approved signing authorities.
- Lead the transition of fund administration from other administrators and manage any outsourced providers.
- Design and maintain maker-checker controls, operating procedures and checklists.
- Build and maintain automation for reconciliations, NAV and fee calculations, and reporting, and apply AI and document-processing tools with human review and audit trails.
Requirements:
- 6+ years in fund administration or fund accounting, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Experience with open-ended and closed-end funds across different structures (e.g. Singapore VCCs, limited partnerships, Cayman/BVI vehicles).
- Hands-on NAV production across multiple asset classes, and experience taking funds through audit under SFRS(I), IFRS or US GAAP.
- Recognized accounting qualification (ISCA CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
- Proven ability to build working automation: Python and SQL, advanced Excel, and familiarity with APIs, data feeds and AI tools.
- Able to work in a small team and explain processes clearly to investors, auditors and regulators.
Nice to Have
- Experience transferring funds between administrators, including a full parallel run.
- Corporate secretarial or Singapore fund tax experience (e.g. Section 13O/13U).
- Working knowledge of MAS AML/CFT requirements and FATCA/CRS.
- Familiarity with fund systems (e.g. Investran, Multifonds, Geneva, eFront) and workflow or low-code platforms.
- Fluent in Mandarin.
