Senior Front-end Engineer\/Developer

Responsibilities

• Review Figma component specifications and align them with the existing design system.
• Translate Figma variables into code design tokens and ensure design-to-code consistency.
• Develop reusable, scalable front-end components with typed props, variants, and states.
• Ensure accessibility compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA, keyboard navigation, screen readers, localisation, RTL, and locale-specific formatting.
• Use AI-assisted tools for code generation, testing, and documentation while adhering to banking AI and data policies.
• Maintain reusable AI prompts, engineering conventions, and context files.
• Develop unit, interaction, visual regression, and accessibility tests across themes and breakpoints.
• Collaborate with designers to validate pixel-perfect implementation against Figma designs.
• Document components, usage guidelines, props, and design tokens in Storybook.
• Manage component releases, code reviews, versioning, and internal registry publishing while supporting adoption by development teams.

Requirements

• Strong experience in front-end engineering and reusable design system component development.
• Hands-on experience with Figma, design specifications, design tokens, and component libraries.
• Proficiency in modern front-end technologies, typed component APIs, and responsive UI development.
• Experience with Storybook, unit testing, interaction testing, and visual regression testing.
• Strong understanding of WCAG 2.2 AA, accessibility, localisation, RTL, and responsive design.
• Experience using AI coding assistants for development, testing, and documentation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with designers and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Knowledge of code review, semantic versioning, release governance, and component documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Language.
