Job Description

We are seeking a Contract Senior Financial Analyst to partner closely with Back End (BE) Operations leaders to drive cost transparency, planning accuracy, process improvement through automation, workflow redesign, and AI enabled productivity.

This contract role is focused on hands on execution. You will work closely with BE Operations, IT, and Finance teams to deliver automation solutions, enhance analytics, and support scalable, well governed finance processes in a high volume manufacturing environment. The role is ideal for someone who can quickly ramp up, detail-oriented, able to manage deadlines, deliver tangible improvements, reduce manual effort across BE finance workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Support BE Operations Finance processes across costing, forecasting, closing and performance reporting, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.

• Provide project-based (system testing, path finding etc.) and ad hoc analytical support, delivering scoped improvements and outputs within defined timelines.

• Execute process improvement and automation initiatives by simplifying and standardizing workflows, redesigning trackers/templates, and automating recurring data preparation and reporting where feasible; implement appropriate controls (validation checks, versioning, clear ownership) and ensure changes are documented and sustainable for handover to reduce manual effort in data consolidation, variance analysis, and recurring reporting within the contract period.

• Leverage analytics and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) to create, maintain and enhance dashboards that enable standardized, self service reporting for BE stakeholders.

• Apply AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to automate recurring date preparation, accelerate data analysis, variance investigation, documentation, and preparation of management summaries, while validating outputs for accuracy and governance.

• Support standard costing and variance analysis, improving transparency and explainability of key cost drivers (e.g., volume, yield, spending etc.).

• Assist planning, closing, forecasting cycles by preparing inputs, consolidations, and clear variance narratives for review.

• Collaborate with Operations, IT, and Finance partners to deliver agreed analytics and process enhancements within defined scope and timelines.

• Maintain process documentation, metric definitions, and controls, ensuring work delivered during the contract is sustainable and well documented for transition

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline

• 5-7 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in:

o Manufacturing, semiconductor, or operations focused environments

o Cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning & analysis (FP&A)

• Prior contract or project based role experience is preferred, with ability to ramp up quickly

Technical & Functional Skills

• Strong foundation in financial analysis, including:

o Cost tracking, variance analysis, and trend analysis within a manufacturing environment

• Hands‑on experience with financial systems and data tools, such as:

o Advanced Excel (complex formulas, power query ( preferable) , pivot tables, working with large datasets)

o ERP and finance reporting systems (e.g., SAP, TM1, Power BI, or equivalent)

• Ability to work effectively with standard cost, budget, and forecast data, understanding key manufacturing cost drivers

• Comfortable supporting month‑end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and data validation

• Exposure to using digital or AI‑enabled productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to improve analysis efficiency, documentation, and reporting, with appropriate validation of outputs

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail

• Ability to interpret financial data and translate it into clear, decision relevant insights

• Capable of working with incomplete or evolving data and meeting tight timelines

• High level of ownership and accountability for assigned deliverables

• Ability to collaborate effectively with:

o Operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering stakeholders

o Cross functional teams

• Comfortable working in a fast paced, matrixed environment

• Ability to follow established finance policies and procedures with minimal supervision

• High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism

Contract Specific Expectations

• Able to start and contribute quickly with limited onboarding time

• Flexible and adaptable to changing project or business priorities

• Willing to support ad hoc analyses or time sensitive requests as required during the contract period
