Job Description
We are seeking a skilled
Senior Finance Systems and Reporting Specialist to join our dynamic
Finance team.In this role you would report to Associate Director, Finance Performance and Systems. The job holder will play a crucial role in optimizing our financial systems and financial reporting tools and processes, ensuring data integrity, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making across the organisation.
This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent reporting skills, and strong proficiency in various Finance and reporting software and tools.
The role oversees the Financial and FP&A Systems globally from an operational point of view, with close interactions with Digital and other business systems administrators.
Responsibilities:
Systems administration:
- Responsible for administrating financial applications and integrations (Oracle FUSION ERP-GL/EPM), with the support of Digital and external providers.
- Oversee daily operations and maintenance, including troubleshooting and system optimization such as (Configuring cubes, dimensions, forms, and business rules tailored to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation requirements)
- Provide support during closing activities (monthly, half year and year-end), such as open/close periods, issue controls reports (unposted journals, journals in error, etc).
- Respond to user application issues and enhancement requests, work with vendor support organizations as appropriate.
- Assist in reviewing the upgrades and provide UAT test case support.
Financial analysis and reporting support:
- Develop and maintain customised financial BI reports and dashboards that provide insights to senior management.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, consistency and relevance of data used for financial planning, budgeting and reporting across the school.
- Work with Digital team to improve data availability, structure and accuracy in BI
- Drive automation initiatives to streamline reporting and reduce manual processes
- Provide support and guidance to FP&A Business Partners to develop relevant and structured financial analysis and management reporting that supports business decisions
- Manage the central reports and consolidate data from business units. Prepare analysis for ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Improve and promote the use of technology for reporting and analysis. Train and coach FP&A Business Partners to advanced technical level.
Systems documentation and training:
- Maintain functional documentation for financial applications.
- Coordinate functional design and testing during enhancement projects.
- Develop application process flows and training materials for users.
- Develop the use of Power BI for FP&A. Support the upskilling of the team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A bachelors or master&aposs degree, either in the field of Accounting/Finance or in the field of Information Technology.
- Work experience of 8 years in financial planning & analysis, specifically with business intelligence focus
- Previous systems administration experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial close, planning and budgeting processes, and enterprise data management
- Functional systems knowledge - especially in the areas of INSEAD systems infrastructure (Oracle Fusion, ERP/EPM) is necessary.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and business analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
- Ability to learn new systems and technologies and stay informed of technology changes
- Exceptional problem solving, task management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
