About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical, and proactive Senior Finance Specialist to join our team. This role serves as a key bridge between technical financial accounting and commercial business decision-making.

Combining strong foundational expertise in financial reporting, statutory compliance, and internal controls with proactive finance business partnering, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations while collaborating directly with cross-functional leaders to analyze business performance, evaluate financial models, and optimize operational workflows.

What you'll do

Financial Accounting & Technical Reporting

Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes, preparing statutory financial statements and consolidated accounts in compliance with IFRS / FRS standards.
Manage complex technical accounting assessments, including lease accounting, deferred taxation, borrowings, and capitalization criteria for internal software development.
Review and evaluate Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models and valuation assumptions for subsidiary and asset impairment assessments.
Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, managing audit schedules, group reporting requirements, and technical query resolution to ensure smooth audit execution.
Finance Business Partnering & Financial Analysis

Partner with cross-functional department heads to translate financial data into actionable commercial insights and performance narratives.
Prepare comprehensive monthly management reporting packages, delivering detailed variance analysis across revenue, operational expenditure, and contract balances.
Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning across business units.
Evaluate business proposals, cost structures, and investment models to guide strategic planning and operational decision-making.
Internal Controls & Process Optimization

Conduct walkthroughs across core operational cycles (e.g., sales, procurement, inventory, treasury) to evaluate control design, mitigate risk, and strengthen internal compliance frameworks.
Identify operational bottlenecks and implement continuous improvements across reporting workflows, accounting systems, and documentation standards.
Ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards, corporate governance policies, and statutory submission requirements.
Stakeholder Management

Manage communications across diverse internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and cross-border entities.

What you'll need

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with strong academic credentials.
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in external audit (Big 4 or mid-tier firm background preferred) or a dual accounting/financial analysis role.
Technical Knowledge: Strong command of IFRS / FRS standards, group consolidations, statutory financial reporting, and complex accounting transactions.
Financial Modeling & Analysis: Demonstrated ability to perform variance analysis, evaluate DCF/impairment models, and synthesize financial data into management reports.
Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities with a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration.
High level of attention to detail, analytical rigor, and critical thinking.
