Job Description

The Senior Finance Manager will oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations for a portfolio of entities including statutory compliance, financial reporting, and consolidation of overseas entities. This role manages a team of 4 (3 Accountants and 1 Accounts Payable staff) and works closely with external auditors, tax agents, banks, corporate secretaries, and internal stakeholders.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore statutory requirements, including audit, corporate income tax, GST, and other regulatory filings
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities on all compliance matters
  • Oversee consolidation of group financial results where applicable
  • Coordinate with corporate secretaries on statutory filings, board resolutions, and compliance matters
  • Ensure proper maintenance of corporate records and governance documentation

Treasury & Banking

  • Manage bank loan matters, including loan drawdowns and repayments, compliance with loan covenants, annual facility reviews, and liaison with financial institutions.
  • Monitor cash flow, bank balances, and financing arrangements

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, manage, and develop a finance team of four (3 GL Accountants, 1 AP)
  • Provide clear guidance, coaching, and performance management to ensure strong accountability and ownership
  • Foster a structured and collaborative team environment
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with internal stakeholders, management, and external parties.
  • Support management with financial insights and analysis as required
  • Participate in company's sustainability effort for the environment and being an inclusive employer.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Degree in Accountancy or a professional qualification such as ACCA or equivalent
  • Big 4 audit background is preferred but not mandatory
  • Minimum 35 years of experience managing a finance team
  • Strong experience in Singapore compliance matters, including audit, tax, GST, and statutory reporting.
  • Experience in consolidations.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite is an added advantage
  • Experience in hospitality sector and investment properties is an added advantage
