Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with short- and long-term business goals.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO on financial performance, business risks, and growth opportunities.
- Build and lead a world-class finance team, implementing scalable systems and processes.
2. Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Lead fundraising activities
- Manage investor relations and communications, ensuring transparency and trust with stakeholders.
3. Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all aspects of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting across Singapore, China and U.S. entities.
- Ensure timely preparation of consolidated group financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Implement and maintain internal controls, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial information.
4. Global Operations, Tax & Compliance
- Supervise financial operations across Singapore, China and U.S. offices, ensuring compliance with local regulations and tax requirements.
- Oversee annual audits, tax filings, and statutory compliance in all jurisdictions.
- Partner with legal and operations teams to ensure corporate governance, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
5. Business Operations & Growth Enablement
- Support strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and market expansion.
- Provide analytical insights to support decision-making on pricing, product strategy, and resource allocation.
- Drive operational efficiency through data-driven financial management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field of top universities.
- MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
- Prior public accounting or external audit experience is preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including at least 3 years in a senior finance role at a startup or high-growth company.
- Proven track record in fundraising, investor relations, and managing cross-border financial operations.
- Deep knowledge of both U.S. GAAP and IFRS, tax, and compliance regulations in Singapore and the U.S.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
